Maglera Doe Boy Calls On Nasty C For Longer Verse As ‘Yahoo Boyz’ Remix Edges Closer

The Kanana-born rapper shared the update in a casual kitchen video posted on social media, where he revealed that Nasty C has already submitted his verse for the remix. Maglera Doe Boy, however, believes the Durban rapper needs to add a little more to it.

Maglera explained that he likes what Nasty C delivered but feels the contribution is too short considering who is behind the microphone. “He gave me a verse, it’s ill,” he said. “I just felt like it’s a little… it’s a bit short cause it’s Nasty man, you know? He’s the GOAT, and I was like dog, come on, just take it to the top.”

According to Maglera, Nasty C was wrapping up his UK tour around the time they last spoke, but the verse has already been completed. The Mr Price hitmaker said he could release the remix as it stands, but expects fans to question the length of Nasty C’s appearance.

“I have a verse from him, we could drop it, but I know the fans are gonna be like ‘oh, this verse is short,’ so I asked him, pops, can you just give us more?” he explained.

The original Yahoo Boyz, sometimes styled Yahoo Boys, featuring FLVME, was released on 22 June 2026 as the first single from Maglera’s Mondays in the Maglera series. Produced by OrowaAfrika and BiglesForReal, with Zoocci Coke Dope handling curation, the track quickly emerged as one of the notable South African hip-hop releases of the year.

Its official music video was released on 3 July, pairing the track with cinematic street visuals directed by Maglera and @visulizedbymazi. Speculation around a Nasty C remix began in July after Maglera revealed that he had sent the Durban rapper an open verse. Fans responded by flooding the comments with South African flags and calls for the collaboration.

With Nasty C’s verse already recorded, the remix appears to be closer than ever. For Maglera, though, releasing it is not simply about having the collaboration on paper. He wants the guest appearance to feel worthy of the anticipation surrounding it. Now, fans are waiting to see whether Nasty C will return to the booth and extend the verse before Yahoo Boyz gets its long-awaited remix.
