Priddy Ugly Reunites With Herc Cut The Lights For Upcoming Release “STRAATENG”
Priddy Ugly Reunites With Herc Cut The Lights For Upcoming Release “STRAATENG.” Priddy Ugly is gearing up for another release, and this time, he is bringing Herc Cut The Lights along for the ride. The South African rapper has teased a new offering titled STRAATENG, giving fans a glimpse into the work, pain and years of experience behind the music.
Taking to Instagram, Priddy Ugly shared a caption that captured the journey behind the upcoming release, writing, “30 hours of work, A couple hours of pain, Many years of hurt, for the thunder power we’ve gained ⚡️✨.”
He also gave a shout-out to his longtime collaborator, tagging Herc Cut The Lights and adding, “@herc_cutthelights always down to skyf khapha 🫂.” The rapper then confirmed that STRAATENG is on the way, leaving supporters waiting for more details about the release.
The title carries a familiar street-inspired energy, building on the world Priddy Ugly explored earlier this year with 325 straateng. Produced by Herc Cut The Lights, the freestyle showcased the rapper’s command of Johannesburg street slang, sharp lyricism and unfiltered delivery. This latest teaser suggests that he could be returning to that same sound and spirit.
The reunion also brings together two creatives with a history of making music together. Herc Cut The Lights has contributed to several projects in Priddy Ugly’s catalogue, including SOIL, MUD and DUST. Their relationship stretches beyond the recording studio, with the pair sharing a creative connection that has continued to produce music over the years.
While Priddy Ugly has yet to reveal whether STRAATENG will arrive as a standalone single, an EP or part of a bigger project, the announcement has already sparked curiosity about what the duo have been cooking up.
For now, the message is simple: Priddy Ugly and Herc Cut The Lights are back in the studio together, and something new is coming. With the rapper promising a release shaped by years of experience and hours of hard work, STRAATENG is one to keep an eye on.
