Anele Tembe’s Father, Moses Tembe Responds To AKA’s Claims That He Requested To Speak At Anele’s Funeral. During a sit down tell all interview with eNCA journalist Thembekile Mrototo, AKA shocked the nation with revelations about his relationship with Anele Tembe. AKA spoke about a number of things including the use of drugs, the moments before Anele’s death and the police inquest.

In the interview AKA also takes a moment to speak about Anele’s funeral, where he claims that he requested to give a tribute to Anele. The rapper mentioned that through the person who was handling his affairs at the time, he reached out to the Tembe family to for a chance to speak to the funeral. He says that when he sat down for the service and upon opening the booklet he saw that his name was not included.

“I was her husband. I had paid Lobola right? So I thought that I would have an opportunity to speak to also pay tribute to her and I communicated that to the family through the person on my side who was handling things through to the family. And I got there, and I sat down and I opened the book of the memorial and my name wasn’t there.“

“I was under the impression that I would be able to speak, I have a full eulogy written out for her. Maybe one day people will hear it, I think people will deserve to hear it one day” he said.

At the end of the interview, BarLeader TV added a response from Anele’s father Moses Tembe who responded to AKA’s statement.

His response simply read, “We held memorial services all week preceding Anele’s funeral service. Kiernan’s father and Kiernan’s friend spoke alongside Tembe Family. Kiernan never made a request nor was ever denied the opportunity to read his message on the day of the funeral.“
