Frank Casino Explains How He Came Up With His Stage Name! Most of SA rappers go by stage names which is expected for Hip-Hop and often times the stage names are inspired by their alter egos or biggest inspirations. Some SA rappers have been accused of lacking originality and stealing their stage names from American rappers.
Ever wondered how Frank Casino got his stage name? The Forever rapper recently sat down with MacG and Sol Phenduka to talk about his journey amongst, American influence, taking a break from releasing music amongst other things. Casino was asked to explain how he came up with his stage name and it’s quite an interesting story.

On his stage name ‘Frank Casino’ he said: “The name…. In Primary I was called Young G. I used to like Young Buck, that was my favorite guy there. In High School, because I was a hustler selling sneakers and stuff, the Casino came into play. They used to call me Jeezy, so it was Jeezy Casino. Then later, I realized I’m quite frank…like get to the point so, Frank Casino,” the rapper said to impressed MacG and Sol Phenduka.
Recently Flvme found himself explaining his own stage name after he got accused of stealing it from Travis Scott. ““Fact one : I was LaFlame before I was a Travis Scott fan Fact two : I became a Travis Scott fan in 2013 after listening to owl Pharaoh Fact three : LaFlame is a french word that means the Flame/Fire … Class dismissed,” he clarified.
