Ocean L had the streets talking with his diss track directed at his stepfather Max Lichaba and it seems that he didn’t just get the streets talking people actually listened to his track. The audio video of the track is already sitting on over 20 000 views on the video platform, YouTube.

An excited Ocean L shared on his Instagram stories, a screenshot of the controversial song’s achievement on YouTube. Ocean wrote “Wow” and praying hands and wave emoji’s to his post, along with the picture. Ocean L reaching 20 000 views in six days is a huge milestone for the young rapper as it shows he might just have a career in rap music.

The young rapper caught the hip hop streets attention, with the release of his track called, My step fathers a devil, which exposes Max Lichaba, who is the estranged husband of his mother actress, Sophie Ndaba. Ocean L, real name Lwandle Ndaba is the son of the former Generations actress and actor Themba Ndaba.

Ocean L received positive comments for his song, with reviewers praising the beat of the song and the bars on the song. A tweep had even shared “Sophie Ndaba’s son spat some bars about Max Lichaba, song is dope I love it.”. Another tweep found themselves caught between emotions as they listened to the song. “I am dancing and being mad at the same time while listening to that max lichaba diss song by Sophie Ndaba’s son,” said the tweep.

Ocean L had explained on Instagram, why he decided to drop the track, that exposes his stepfather’s alleged dealings. “When women say “men are trash”, believe them. Don’t say “not all men” because you never know who is a devil disguised as an Angel. I just never thought that the devil would be my stepfather, hiding in plain site but operating in the dark. The track is currently only available on YouTube and no other digital platform. There is currently a legal storm around Lwandle’s diss track and according to Sunday World, Max has sent a letter of demand to Sophie, that Lwandle apologises and retract the “defamatory” and “hurtful” lyrics of the song. Lwandle has not yet apologised or retracted the song at the time of publishing.
