Gigi Lamayne Announces A ‘First For Africa’ New Presenting Gig. Rapper Gigi Lamayne stays winning! Gigi has been hard at work this year, securing deals and also dropping hot music. It seems Gigi has her finger in every pie and the results of her hard work are showing. The award-winning artist has scored herself a new presenting gig on one of the biggest social media platforms. The South Ah artist took to social media to share the good news that she will be the host of a new show that is a first of its kind.

The 26-year-old artist shared that she is the new host of Tik Tok’s very first African music chart show called, Africa Top 40. The talented artist shared a video, where she shared her huge announcement. In the video, Gigi is heard saying, “I am so excited to be announcing that I am going to be the very first official host of Tik Tok’s very first African chart.” Gigi also shares in the clip that the show will start on September 19.

Gigi captioned the video, “Introducing your host on @tiktoks’ very first African music chart show @africatop40 which premieres this Sunday at 15:00 LIVE on TikTok! See you then !” Her announcement comes off the heels of her recent announcement that she is one of the ambassadors of the Silapha program brought by The Department of Sports, Arts and Culture. Gigi posted a separate video announcing her partnership with Silapha and explained that she is super honoured and excited to be a part of the initiative by the department to assist artists and athletes.

Gigi recently shared a post where she celebrated her growth as an individual in the industry. In her post, Gigi explained how she has to navigate on meeting peoples expectations of her and also what she wants for herself. Gigi seems to be at a place where she doesn’t want to be compared to anyone and is happy with the moves she is making as they are directing her to success. “Trying to navigate between peoples expectations and what I want has been hard because no ! Im not who you compare me to. I’m an academic who poses in Lingerie, takes flights to Jamaica and raps like my life depends on it. Did I mention I do reality TV in my spare time? I am number 1! So with all the strides I’m making, come through! There’s lots of space on this flight. @refiloer once told me to run a marathon and not a race. I’m still running baby…. And I’m not going anywhere!” shared Gigi.
