SA Hip Hop Producer 031 Choppa Celebrates His Music Being On ‘Blood And Water’ S2. Season 2 of Netflix’s popular South Ah original series, Blood and Water is finally out. The local production has once again made sure to keep things local by including some of the hottest tracks in the series. Music from SA Hip Hop artists such as Costa Titch and YoungstaCPT have been played on the hit series. SA Hip Hop producer, 031 Choppa has three tracks that he produced, featuring the score for the series.
The Hip Hop producer was pleased with his work being featured on the popular series and even set a goal for himself to have 10 songs next time. “I swear next year it’s gonna be 10 songs,” wrote the producer. 031 Choppa, produced the following tracks, Areyeng by Costa Titch featuring Riky Rick and DJ Maphorisa, Wag n beitjie by Costa Titch featuring YoungstaCPT and Kwedini by Benzo featuring Lookatups. “3 OF THE SONGS I PRODUCED WERE USED ON @bloodandwatrnetflix SZN2 ..NGYABONGA,” the producer, also added as he thanked his supporters.
031 Choppa is also gearing up to drop a project as an artist and this will be the KwaMashu native to show his abilities as an artist. Many of his fans are eager for the project and for the SA Hip Hop community to see just how vast Choppa’s skills and range are. Costa Titch, who worked with 031 Choppa, was also pleased with their achievements and also took to social media to share how grateful, he is. “This journey with you all continues to amaze me and I’m eternally grateful! Thank you!!!” captioned Costa a video posted on his Instagram.
While the inclusion of SA Hip Hop music on the Netflix series has been well-received, not everyone is too pleased with how the music has been placed, in certain parts of the series but some fans have noted an improvement in this regard. On the latest POPcast episode, the host’s Ms Cosmo and Muchi, also known as Sipho Snaps, and guest panellist, DJ Double D, remarked on the inclusion of SA Hip Hop music in the series. “They tightened it up, season 2 they tightened it up,” remarked DJ Double D about the music. Ms Cosmo went on to add, “the music has been sometimes weirdly placed, I know that was a big issue in season 1. They did kind of rectify it but there was like one or two scenes where I was but hawu guys we spoke about this thing.“
