Emtee Explains The Inspiration For His Song “Johustleburg.” The hip hop game has always created a dog eats dog situation and The Hustler Emtee has proved it after he was accused of stealing a logo for his track Johustleburg. With all the controversy that took place building up to the release of Johustleburg, the rapper has also revealed the good side and the inspiration for the song.
Emtee took to Twitter and revealed what inspired the making of the song and the people who worked with him on the track to be a success. “Johustleburg is also inspired by the group Jozi. Taught me to be experimental with sound. Their style, Bongz hard-working production, North Gawds drip n finesse and the legendary Ishmael on the vocals,” tweeted Emtee.
Johustleburg was the follow-up to his earlier songs, “Waves” and “Brand New Day,” which were favourably appreciated by music fans around the country. The track has made a significant impact in the hip hop space and mostly in mainstream media.
Recently Emtee has called for unity in SA hip hop after he was spotted with Nasty C and Blxckie. “SA hip hop gotta unite. F**k all this boujee $h**. We don’t have to be friends. Sizosebeza la egoli.” Wrote Emtee. Could this be a collaboration that SA hip hop need to convince the fans the genre never die?
