This year’s edition saw SA hip hop being represented by the game’s top women, with the likes of Boity, Nadia Nakai, and Rouge all gracing the event with their top music in the recently concluded Miss South Africa pageant.

Boity is the only female rapper that participated in the Miss SA pageant finals and hasn’t been active in the music scene in a while. Taking to Instagram, Boity did not shy away from appreciating that she was the opening act for MissSA2020. Boity further expressed that it felt good for her to be back live on stage performing again.

The Wuz Dat? hitmaker has been out from the music scenes for a while as she was mostly paying attention to her businesses. In an interview with TshisaLIVE Boity made it clear that she is working towards releasing new music, and now that she is back performing live on stage, her fans might be looking forward to new music.

“I’ve been gigging … not as much as I should be, but I think I’ve taken a step back because I’ve really want to work on a project and I’m ready to present new work, new material to my followers because they are like ‘we want more music’. And I know and I’m just like ‘oh God when I get there I will’ and I think that’s when I will start taking more gigs again properly and start reflourishing my music career.” She said.
