Cassper Claps Back At Criticism Regarding Performing “Monate Mpolaye” At Dj Sumbody’s Funeral
Cassper Claps Back At Criticism Regarding Performing “Monate Mpolaye” At Dj Sumbody’s Funeral. The death of DJ Sumbody grieved Mzansi since it marked the loss of yet another significant person in the South African music business following the death of Riky Rick earlier this year.
Cassper Nyovest, a close friend to the slain amapiano pioneer was amongst the people who could not hold their tears after Sumbody was brutally killed last week.
Even though it was a painful send-off, people also sang in tribute to the businessman’s life as his friends Cassper Nyovest, Vetties, and Thebe performed their famous song Monate Mpolaye. Cassper came under heavy criticism from some of his Twitter followers for performing a party song at a funeral.
One of the followers accused the famed rapper of always making everything about after his video performing at the funeral went viral. “They could’ve just played the song, Cassper makes everything about him.“
Clapping back, the rapper tweeted; “The family asked US to perform the song as a tribute at the memorial and the funeral. I agreed out of respect for the family but yeah “Cassper Makes everything about him.” Leave me the fuck alone man!!! I’m human!!!”
Cassper is currently preparing for the much anticipated FillUpMmabathoStadium in his Mafikeng hometown. Following the passing of his friend DJ Sumbody, the Tito Mboweni hitmaker reflected on his last performance with DJ Sumbody at the Royal Bafokeng when they rocked the stage with Monate Mpolaye. The rapper had plans to do the same but following the devastating loss, all he can do is pay tribute to the amapiano DJ.
“2019!!! Fill Up Royal Bafokeng!!! We had the summer on lock!!! Monate Mpolaye!! It’s gonna be sooo hard to carry on without you SumB. They say you never know what you have until it’s gone. It gets harder everyday!!! We had plans be!!! We was supposed to do this next week Diddy!!! Wrote Cassper.
