AKA Responds To Claims That His Pen Game Has Dropped
AKA Responds To Claims That His Pen Game Has Dropped. AKA isn’t atypical regarding South African rappers with the finest song repertoire. The rapper has maintained his level of consistency when it comes to releasing classic songs in spite of the obstacles he faced.
Taking to Twitter, one of AKA‘s followers told him that people are saying his pen game has dropped urging the rapper to drop some classic songs to remind his critics. “They say your pen game has dropped; please give them classic Mega since it seems they forgot,” read the tweet.
In response, AKA said he has nothing to prove as a rapper and people will always have something to say. He added that his music catalogue has brought so much joy to the people of South Africa and that alone speaks for itself. “you know … “they” … will always have something to say. I have nothing to prove as a rapper … my catalog and the joy I’ve brought to my people speaks for itself ya know?” Tweeted AKA.
AKA is currently enjoying a good spell with his music after dropping two singles in Lemon (Lemonade) and Paradise. The rapper has assured his fans that he will be dropping a new album in January and he has promised to drop music for every South African.
With all the success he has enjoyed in SA Hip hop for the past years, Supa Mega has encouraged other upcoming artists to never be discouraged by anything. This came after Spotify released its Spotify Wrapped showing how artists’ music has been played on the streaming platform.
“To all artists looking at all these Spotify wrapped thingy’s and feeling discouraged or feeling down for WHATEVER reason, just know that it doesn’t define you. Keep believing in your gift and go harder. Build a loyal fan base that will stick with you through thick and thin.” He tweeted.
