Blacklez Believes His Music Is Ahead Of It’s Time

People don’t give enough respect to our Hip Hop artists for changing the whole game up in the last couple of years. It’s almost like people still respect American acts more than we respect our home grown artists. Blacklez feels like people did not receive his single ‘Stranger’ as well as they did Kendrick’s ‘King Kunta’.

I totally understand his point because they both have a 70’s funk sound but people criticized the ‘Black Steve Biko’ for trying to push the envelope but praised King Kendrick for it.

The rapper feels if he had released Stranger after ‘King Kunta’ came out people would love the song. Here is what the man said:
