Emtee Reveals The Motivation Behind His Verse On “Crown” Featuring AKA. AKA’s long-awaited album Mass Country has finally hit the ears of Mzansi and other Megacy fans outside South Ah. The Supa Mega utilized the vocals of some of the big-name SA rappers to deliver his final masterpiece.
Just like any other album, fans have been picking their favourite tracks from the project and the AKA and Emtee collaboration raised eyebrows. Taking to Twitter, one of Emtee’s followers asked the rapper what could’ve motivated the Hustler to come up with the verse on the song Crown. “What were you thinking when you wrote that #Crown verse on #MassCountry,” read the tweet.
In response, Emtee admitted that AKA was the motivation behind him unleashing the bars on the Crown verse. “Ion know. I just know AkA helped out a lot in bringing sum outta me,” tweeted Emtee. Emtee and AKA have always been close industry friends and colleagues from way back.
The Huslter has always given AKA flowers for always being his cheerleader in the game. The Roll Up hitmaker even made an admission that AKA is the one who launched his rap career after he collaborated with him on Roll Up Re-up along with Wizkid. Emtee stated that he was underrated until he secured a feature with the Supa Mega. “Everybody looked down on me cos I was poor till I got AKA on a song,” tweeted Emtee.
