Lynn Forbes Reveals Kairo’s Reaction After She Heard The News Of AKA’s Passing. AKA and his daughter Kairo Forbes shared the best moments of dad and daughter relationship that most people admired. The two’s love and togetherness were brutally cut short after AKA was shot and killed in Durban along with his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane.

The Forbes grandmother Lynn Forbes spoke on eNCA’s News Night about the aftermath of her son’s tragic death. Glammy also revealed how she revealed the news to AKA’s darling daughter Kairo Forbes “I told her that we have some really sad news…Your dad died, ” she said.

Lynn Forbes went on to say that Kairo asked her what happened to her father and she said;  “I said some bad people hurt him….they shot him. She cried terribly”.

Lynn stated that when she had time to process the information, Kairo asked her a dreadful and difficult question. “She asked: ‘But, he’s coming back, right? He will be ok‘. And I had to tell her, ‘No, he’s not coming back, and we have to bury him.’

Lynn Forbes also said that the final goodbyes AKA had with Kairo were heartwrenching now that she is making sense of everything. “On a Thursday night, Kiernan asked me to wake him early in the morning so he can say goodbye to Kairo. As I was back in the car, he said goodbye to her and said Im going to miss you so much and I want you to always know that Daddy loves you and I’m going to miss you.”

“So at the time, it was just he is just saying goodbye to her, but now it means so much more because those were the last word he spoke to her and he said goodbye to Nadia.”
