Priddy Ugly Talks About The Time Anatii Called His Music “Wack”
Priddy Ugly Talks About The Time Anatii Called His Music “Wack.” Being a rising artist in the highly competitive music industry entails a host of difficulties. A slew of SA rappers who are now successful have gone through that rough patch and Priddy Ugly is the one living to tell the tale.
Speaking during an interview with Zingah on Choppin It With Budha T Podcast, Priddy Ugly revealed an incident when fellow rapper Anatii told him his music is whack. This was at a time when Priddy Ugly was part of a music group called Black Print with the likes of Frank Casino and others.
“Anatii came through to us and I didn’t know who he was, he just pulled up, and at the time he spoke with a very heavy American accent,” he said. “He (Anatii) was like I heard y’all make beats and we were like no we not producers but we make music you know. “He (Anatii) was like I’m working with Da LES on his album, let’s hear your stuff, and we played him two or three songs and he was just like yoh man your sh*t is wack,” Priddy Ugly said.
Anatii used his little brother as a point of comparison to demonstrate how horrible Priddy Ugly and Co’s music was, stating that he produced better music than Black Print. “Trust me he said this, he was like yoh, (“My little brother makes better beats than this.”) “I grew up thinking Anatii has a little brother only to find out that homie didn’t even have a brother,” Priddy Ugly added.
