SA Hip Hop DJ OG Samke Slams SA Rappers For Their Savage Attitude Towards Fans. South African hip-hop has been a dominant force in the music industry, known for its lyrical prowess and unique style.
However, a recent controversy has surfaced within the industry, as renowned DJ OG Samke has taken a bold stance against some of the country’s top rappers for what he perceives as a lack of humanity towards their own fans.
OG Samke took to Twitter (X) to express his frustration with the behaviour of certain prominent rappers. The YFM Hip Hop DJ said that some rappers are acting too cool towards their fans yet they dont have any top charting songs.
“I see SA Hip Hop artists actin’ tooo cool with 0 humility in public to their own fans & I’m thinking, “How you playin fresh but you not even on the charts, no one is listening to your sh*t” Take those ridiculous shades off & GET YO A*S TO STUDIO AKHI!” He wrote.
Fans and fellow artists alike joined the conversation, with some expressing support for OG Samke’s sentiments, while others defended the accused rappers. Zingah is one of the people who also shared his views towards OG’s remarks towards SA rappers.
Zingah came to the defence of South African rappers, emphasizing that they frequently receive advice from individuals without established rap careers. “Lol rappers are always getting advice from people that donโt have successful rap careers on here is that strange only to me?” Zingah wrote.
Responding to Zingah, OG Samke said that rappers should always take advice from people who spend money on their music. “Nah it’s not strange. You should always take advice from people who spend their money on your craft.” Samke said.
