DJ Double D Responds To Claims Of Mocking A-Reece Following His Remarks On Low-budget Music Videos. Double D has found himself at the centre of controversy following allegations of mocking fellow artist A-Reece over comments made about low-budget music videos.
Taking to Twitter, (X), the outspoken DJ took a swipe at artists who have been making low-budget music videos in the name of visualisers. “Can we please stop calling low-budget music videos, “Visualizers” There’s a big difference between what they be calling “Visualizers” these days & ACTUAL Visualizers,” said DJ Double D.
The famed SA hip hop DJ’s remarks did not land well with A-Reece’s fans with one of them going on and insinuating that Double D is talking about Reece who recently dropped a visualiser for his song Changes Interlude off the TBHBG album. “Shots fired @reece_youngking, it is what it is,” read the post.
In reply, Double D clarified that his comments were not directed towards A-Reece‘s recent work. He explained that his observations were inspired by an Amapiano track he had encountered, urging the fan to refrain from making assumptions. “No bro! You very wrong. My tweet is actually based off an Amapiano record I saw this morning !!! Stop assuming sh*t!” DJ Double D said.
Despite A-Reece dropping a visualiser for his joint, he is not the only SA rapper who has taken that route. Priddy Ugly also released a visualiser for his hit single NTJA’KA ft. MashBeatz and it has been an occurring pattern being used by most artists in the industry.
