However, the vacation might have turned turbulent as Tropical Cyclone Belal wreaked havoc in Mauritius making international headlines. Taking to Instagram, Moozlie expressed her disappointment as the cyclone messed up their vacation in the eastern side of Africa. “This cyclone experience has been so wild. Not the vacation I had imagined. But having this happened in Jan is a little reminder that God will see me thru any storm this year has coming my way,” Moozlie wrote.

Nevertheless, the rapper conveyed her profound gratitude, expressing that she felt immensely thankful for being safe and protected by God amidst the relentless storm. “Also feeling beyond grateful that I was in a warm bed with a roof over my head. God is good!” Moozlie added in a post.

According to reports, the Mauritius Meteorological Service (MMS) declared a level 4 warning, signifying the highest alert level. The warning came after the storm’s impact near the southern coast on Tuesday morning, with winds reaching approximately 90 km/h (56 mph). Amid the calamity, one death has been recorded so far and the Prime Minister of Mauritius has criticized the MMS for its response to the storm

“I am surprised that the arrival of the heavy rains was not anticipated by the weather services. I share the anger of many Mauritians. Those responsible will have to assume their responsibilities,” said Pravind Jugnauth.
