It’s said that Lil Wayne was not consulted about Tyga’s surprise departure from Young Money and that his deal with Kanye came as a shocker.
As it was shared across social media pages about a week ago that Tyga has become the newest member of G.O.O.D Music records, Wayne is not happy about this move.
According to TMZ,Wayne who owns 49% of Young Money, Tyga’s previous record label, did not sign off on Tyga’s contract coming to an end.
A source close to the rapper says that Wayne feels that his signature was needed to make the deal fall through and for Tyga to be able to leave the label. The source also adds that if it were up to Wayne, Tyga would still be signed to the label.This goes down as just one of the many issues that Wayne has with his majority stakeholder Birdman. Wayne is also currently suing the label head for $51 million, and recently asked that Birdman provide receipts to account for $70 million of Young Money’s $100 million advance.
So if Birdman really had to go through some shady dealings to let Tyga go it wouldn’t be the first time he does stuff behind Wayne’s back.
Wayne is just waiting to get his money and leave Cash Time as soon as possible.
