Maraza stands among those forging their path as independent artists in the game and he is facing his fair share of intricacies that come with being an Indie artist.

Taking to Instagram, the rapper posted a video revealing his new studio setup and the hurdles he’s encountering while configuring the hybrid music recording gear he recently acquired. He mentioned investing his life savings into the equipment and admitted to losing sleep ensuring everything is properly arranged.

“Im not gonna lie to man, like I think in the last 7 days I probably slept maybe 12 hours. I’ve spent pretty much my life savings until I get this setup and I just tend to last 3 hours trying to start… (inaudible) It is so powerful that it usually boots from off to on in 3 seconds. I’m scared to proceed I might just lose 30 000 gigabytes of data. The independent grind is all fun and games but bona yey, it’s not,” Maraza said.

In the caption of the video, Maraza said that coming out with a song is easy, but the work that comes with making those songs is hard and expensive. “Kubi! Ku bird! Coming out with a song is easy. A hit song is a little harder. But the technical aspects behind just MAKING the songs are some of the hardest and most expensive. Hhayibo, Nakhu Ngifa!” Maraza added.
