In a recent Twitter post, Big Zulu reminisced about his days as a taxi driver while simultaneously pursuing his rap career as an underground artist.

“9 years ago I was loading the community while I was performing at BTTC, I loaded people, I took them to BTTC, I came to perform, and later I loaded them back, I was a taxi driver for 6 to 7 years, here I am rapping, I am coming to try SA HIP HOP AWARD by taxi 🙏🏿 don’t stop,” he wrote.
