Speaking during an interview ahead of his single release “Let Me Cook” featuring Maglera Doe Boy, the multi-award-winning rapper has drawn striking parallels between the burgeoning “New Wave” movement and the foundational pillars of OG South African Hip Hop.
The SkhandaWorld boss openly acknowledges his role as a perpetual student of the rap game, remaining keenly attuned to the innovations and styles emerging from the new wave of South African rappers.

“How I feel about new age Hip Hop versus the OG stuff, I mean it’s always exciting, I’m a student of the game, I’m watching what the new guys are doing that’s why I have a record with Maglera who is currently hot in the streets right now in SA,” he said.
K.O reflected on the significant impact he made during the heyday of South African Hip Hop, expressing genuine excitement about the opportunity to continue contributing to the ongoing evolution of the genre.
“Obviously I was part of some of the OGs stuff and we made some history there and I’m still pretty much excited about contributing to the current motion and what’s going on within the new wave and the new crop of artists that are coming out,” he added.
