Blxckie Talks About Tory Lanez’s Influence On His Sound. Blxckie’s rise from Soundcloud to international fame has been nothing short of exceptional.

Along his journey to stardom, he has drawn inspiration from other successful rappers who paved the way before him. One notable influence is the US rapper Tory Lanez. Speaking during an interview on 247HH during his visit to the USA for the Bas Tour, Blxckie shared his musical journey revealing other Soundcloud artists who influenced his music.

“There’s a lot of artists that influence the sound and the way I move, mainly from the Soundcloud era of probably 2016 to 2018, Ski Mask, Trippie Redd, Famous Dex, Rich The Kid was going crazy too,” he said. “After that, I jumped into the Atlanta scene, so a lot of got it, a lot of kid, when I started figuring out the whole trap thing I wanted to branch out more and sing some more, and that’s when I started listening to Party and the Weekend and Roy Woods, that very much shaped the sound that I’m in right now,” Blxckie added.

Speaking about Tory Lanez‘s influence, Blxckie said; “Tory Lanez also mostly for just the types of moves he was making on the internet, the way he was dropping the music, the way he was giving the people and experience I messed with that a lot. A lot of what all those people were doing speaks to what I’m doing right now.”
