However, Big Zulu is one of the public figures who has been dragged into the post-election discourse after he was accused of campaigning for one of the opposition parties Democratic Alliance (DA). Taking to X, Nota accused the Inkabi Records boss of backing the DA stating that he is a sellout for backing an enemy of South Africa’s liberation struggle.
“Big Zulu campaigned for the DA in these elections… That’s why I never took him seriously. What kind of Nkabi votes for the enemies of our liberation after making a career singing about the plight of our people? A rank old sellout!” Nota said.
In his defence, Big Zulu came out and refuted the allegations with a clap back at Nota stating that the person who bewitched the music exec died a long time ago. “Ay futh umuntu owaloya wena washona kudala Ay usele la ehlupha thina,” wrote Big Zulu.
During the campaign trail leading up to the 2024 National Elections, Big Zulu performed before a massive crowd of DA supporters, just as he had previously performed at MK Party and EFF rallies.
