The cabinet underwent a significant reshuffle to accommodate the Government of National Unity, as the ANC failed to secure a majority to form the government on its own. The new cabinet saw the appointment of Gayton McKenzie as the new Minister for Sports, Arts, and Culture. He has pledged to serve South African artists and all beneficiaries of his ministerial role.

“Spins and stance is not a crime, I’m so excited, as I promised the spins shall be recognised and I’m gonna keep that promise. I’m gonna make spinning one of the biggest sports in this country. We’re going to stop gangsterism with sports,” said Gayton Mckkenzi.

The Patriotic Alliance President stated that all South African artists will benefit during his tenure, as he plans to address the issue of a few musicians disproportionately benefiting from the entertainment industry ecosystem.

“It is just a handful of musicians that benefit there, the usual suspects, it’s over. Talent must be recognised, indigenous music will be recognised. We just dont want celebrity people here, watch our artists. TV must tell our stories, I’m excited about this, I’m going to be one of the best ministers,” Gayton Mckenzie added.

In response to Gayton McKenzie’s remarks and his plans as he begins his role as Minister of Sports, Arts, and Culture, Maglera Doe Boy expressed his excitement after Mr McKenzie unveiled some of his ministerial plans.

Maglera Doe Boy is known for advocating against gangsterism and gun violence, particularly in his hometown of Makazana. The appointment of the Patriotic Alliance President as minister could be beneficial, as he has promised to combat gangsterism through sports initiatives.
