With the winter season upon us, the initiative provides a much-needed source of warmth and hope to the Tembisa community.

The rapper has always openly embraced his affection for Tembisa, his hometown where he was raised. In the early stages of his rap career, he credited Pro Kid’s deep connection to Soweto as inspiring him to mirror that same passion and dedication for Tembisa.

“The way he always represented eSoweto, it’s just something that I resonated with. I spent a large part of my time here, in Tembisa and I realized that if I’m ever going to speak of a place it would be here because this is the place that needs the hero. They’ve got great people who come from here but not everybody is willing to save this place.” He told Zkhiphani.
