SA Hip hop has witnessed more of those scenarios and many beefs have been left unresolved with some even going further to prolong. Emtee and Zaddy Swag’s relationship appeared to be a solid brotherhood that eventually hit a snag and led to a strained relationship.
Recently, Emtee took to X and exclaimed that Zaddy Swag is amongst the people who turned their backs on him for clout after he helped them. “I was listing people who turned on me for clout when all I did was help niggas and try build with niggas so yeah but don’t be clout chasing as if I said anything bad about fonem. Him, flash n everybody were taking turns twerking and tryna make me look bad,” Emtee said.
In response to Emtee’s accusations, Zaddy Swag was quick to set the record straight, firmly stating that he doesn’t owe Emtee anything. He emphasized that Emtee never contributed to his success or helped him in any meaningful way, rather it was the other way round. “Somebody tell this knucklehead he ain’t helped me with shit, it’s actually the other way around,” Zaddy Swag said.
Emtee and Zaddy enjoyed a strong and positive relationship while collaborating on their music works. Their partnership was marked by mutual respect and a shared creative vision. However, despite their successful collaboration, a disagreement eventually arose, leading to their separation.
