Maftown Heights Unveils Exciting Lineup For Upcoming Event

Scheduled to take place on 29 November 2024, at the Mary Fitzgerald Square. The festival will feature an impressive array of artists that reflect the vibrant and diverse sounds of the genre. This year’s Maftown Heights has taken a unique approach to curating its lineup.

Founder Khuli Chana enlisted Maglera Doe Boy to help shape the event’s roster, resulting in two distinct lineups. Khuli Chana’s lineup is branded as “The Motswako Republic,” while Maglera Doe Boy’s is titled “Nutswako.”

Drawing from Maglera Doe Boy’s lineup, the Makazana hitmaker has assembled a fresh and dynamic roster featuring some of the brightest new school rappers in SA Hip Hop. This exciting lineup includes talents such as 25K, Thato Saul, Boity, Roiii, Priddy Ugly, Marcus Harvey, and StinoLeThwenny.

In contrast to Maglera’s lineup, Khuli Chana opted for a more veteran and old-school “grootman” lineup for the upcoming Maftown Heights event. The Motswako Republic lineup will grace the event-goers with the likes of Cassper Nyovest, Tuks, Fifi Cooper, Morafe, and Hash One, amongst others.

Maftown Heights has established itself as a cornerstone of the hip-hop calendar in South Africa, and this year’s event is set to raise the bar even higher. With an exciting lineup and a celebration of culture at its core, the festival promises to be an unmissable event for music lovers.
