Lowfeye Announces Intimate Live Show Series For His Day-One Fans. Lowfeye is giving his day-one supporters exactly what they have been asking for with the announcement of “KWAMAKHULU,” a three-city live show series set to take him to Johannesburg, Durban and Dundee later this year.

The Qwellers co-founder, also known as Mabulala or Umfana KaMakhulu, shared the news in an emotional message dedicated to the fans who have supported his journey from the early days. “After getting so many requests from y’all, it was only right we do it. This is for my day one supporters from Umfanakamakhulu, imibuzo, days before Nosange and Nosange album. Sobe sikhuphuka ngazo zonke… get your tickets. JOHANNESBURG asenzeni ngendlela e right,” he wrote.

The title “KWAMAKHULU” carries a strong connection to Lowfeye’s musical journey. It draws from his 2024 breakthrough project Mfana kaMakhulu, a release that introduced audiences to his distinct combination of hip-hop, Afro-soul and cultural storytelling.

The upcoming shows will celebrate that journey across multiple chapters of his catalogue. Fans can expect music from Mfana kaMakhulu, Imibuzo, Days Before NOSANGE and his debut album NOSANGE, which arrived in March 2026 as a deeply personal tribute to his late mother.

The live series kicks off in Johannesburg before moving to Durban and eventually returning to Dundee, where Lowfeye’s roots run deep. The confirmed dates and venues are:

Friday, 9 October 2026: Da Valt, Marshall Street, Johannesburg

Friday, 30 October 2026: The Bat Bistro, Durban

Friday, 11 December 2026: 20 Lifestyle Lounge, Dundee

Johannesburg will host the opening show at Da Valt on Marshall Street, with Lowfeye already calling on the city to show up and make the night count. Durban follows later in October, while Dundee gets the final show of the series in December.

Born Sibusiso Blessing Sibisi on 9 January 2001, Lowfeye has developed his sound across Gauteng, the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal. His work with the Qwellers collective has further established him as an artist committed to authenticity and storytelling.

His growing catalogue also includes collaborations with artists such as Sjava, LaCabra, Blue Pappi, Priddy Ugly and 25K. His collaboration with Sjava on “Typhoon” became a Gold-certified release, adding another significant milestone to his career.

With NOSANGE, Lowfeye expanded his artistic vision through a 14-track project that balanced hard-hitting records such as “Mission Man” and “Mabulala Amakhosi” with more reflective moments.

The intimate venue choices for “KWAMAKHULU” point towards a series centred on closeness between Lowfeye and the supporters who have followed his evolution from his earliest projects to his debut album.
