Loatinover Pounds Gears Up For Sophomore Album Release “Ground 2 Glory.” Pretoria rapper Loatinover Pounds has officially announced the release of his highly anticipated sophomore album, Ground 2 Glory, sharing a cinematic teaser that hints at a story of perseverance, ambition and reaching the next level.
The rapper unveiled the announcement on Sunday night through a short visual featuring a lone figure making their way up a staircase surrounded by clouds. At the top, a glowing doorway appears before the screen cuts to the album title, GROUND 2 GLORY, alongside the release date, 25 September 2026. “GROUND 2 GLORY — FRIDAY ☁️🪜🩵,” Loatinover captioned the post.
The project, which fans have commonly referred to as G2G, follows his 2024 debut album Pray 4 Pitori. The album went on to achieve double-platinum status and further established Loatinover as one of the notable voices to emerge from Pretoria’s hip-hop scene.
While Pray 4 Pitori was closely tied to the rapper’s hometown and the culture that shaped him, Ground 2 Glory appears to introduce a different chapter. The Sosh Plata hitmaker had already confirmed in recent weeks that the project was complete, while keeping fans guessing about the meaning behind the G2G acronym. Among the theories circulating was “Glory 2 God,” but the latest teaser has now officially revealed the title as Ground 2 Glory.
