Reason Shuts Down Claims That Gigi Lamayne Used A Pre-Recorded DJ Mix

Reason Shuts Down Claims That Gigi Lamayne Used A Pre-Recorded DJ Mix. Reason has come out in defence of Gigi Lamayne after social media users questioned whether the rapper-turned-DJ was mixing live during a recent performance.

The South African artist, whose real name is Sizwe Alakine, addressed the allegations on Tuesday, sharing multiple videos of Gigi behind the decks to challenge claims that her set had been pre-recorded.
Quoting a post that cast doubt on the performance, Reason made it clear that he had anticipated the accusations and prepared footage from different angles to prove his point.
“IVE BEEN WAITING FOR NIGGAZ LIKE YOU,” he wrote.
“I MADE SURE TO RECORD THIS LIVE FROM ALL ANGLES CAUSE YOU CORNY NIGGAZ ARE SO PREDICTABLE!!!
“MY GIRL WORKED WAY TOO HARD TO LEARN AND RESPECT THIS CRAFT JUST FOR YOU CLIPPERS TO COME HERE AND TAKE CHANCES!!!
“ANYWAY. HAVE A NICE DAY…”
The videos show Gigi actively working the decks, wearing headphones and adjusting the mixer throughout her set. One clip captures the atmosphere inside the venue, while others offer closer views of her hands on the controls as she moves through the performance.
Reason also shared another post pointing to an exchange that could be heard in the live footage. He highlighted a moment when he takes a request and checks whether a particular file is available while Gigi continues mixing.
His response puts the focus on the work Gigi has invested in developing her DJ skills, with Reason making it clear that he does not take kindly to people questioning her dedication without sufficient evidence.
Known for her lyrical ability, Gigi has been expanding her creative pursuits behind the decks, taking on the challenge of learning another side of music. Reason’s posts emphasised that mastering the craft takes time and effort, and he was not about to let online speculation overshadow that work.
The exchange has also highlighted the couple’s support for each other, with Reason stepping forward to defend Gigi against the accusations.
By sharing footage from multiple angles, Reason sought to put the speculation to rest and show that Gigi was actively mixing during the performance. His message to those questioning her set was direct: the work speaks for itself, and he had the footage to back up his response.
