Lil Wayne & Birdman Working On Ending Beef
Last year we saw what in our eyes was an unbreakable father-son relationship fall apart in the media. Later on in the year there was a confrontation in a night club where we watched someone from Birdman’s section throw a drink on stage while Wayne was performing.
“To all my fans, I want u to know that my album won’t and hasn’t been released bekuz Baby & Cash Money Rec. refuse to release it,” Lil Wayne wrote at the time.He also said he no longer wanted to a part of Cash Money Records, which is co-owned by Baby.
“I want off this label and nothing to do with these people but unfortunately it ain’t that easy,” Lil Wayne said at the time. “I am a prisoner and so is my creativity Again,I am truly sorry and I don’t blame ya if ya fed up with waiting 4 me & this album. But thk u.”
According to TMZ, Mack Maine got the two on the phone prior to Drake’s New Year’s Eve party. The four were photographed together at Drake’s event and both Lil Wayne and Birdman want to end their rift, which has lasted more than a year.
