In the 90’s every rapper who would blow up had to come in with his own style or he wouldn’t stand a chance. Today, riding the wave of whatever is popping at the time seems like one of the easiest ways to get your career started.

After Migos came out with Versace we saw several artists, if not 60% of rappers around the world come out using the same flow. Last year SA Hip Hop was on the trap wave as well and we saw so much trap artists come up.

“I think right now, the last thing the game needs is another trap song” said AKA. “In fact, I don’t think I ever released a “trap” song” continued the Supa Mega. “I love listening to trap music. I just think there’s plenty artists who got that sound covered already. You don’t need another one” explained AKA.
