Emtee Explains Why He Doesn’t Have Celebrity Friends! Emtee has been in the game for a little over three years now and still moves around with the same people he came onto the scene with.

The rapper stepped onto the scene with his friends from the African Trap Movement like Sjava, Saudi and Ruff. Emtee was recently in Namibia for the AFRIMA Awards were he met with his supporters and shared his answer to a question he received from one. He was asked why people in South Africa don’t respect him.

He answered explaining that he really does not care because he is blessed and then went on to explain why he does not have any celebrity friends. “Till this Day i don’t really have a celebrity friend. Maybe I’m not cool enough for some people but my supporters love me as I am,” said the rapper before pointing out that some rappers don’t have what he has like family.

Somebody said; “They don’t respect you down south, why?” Me; Back, home some niggas is full of shit but I’m used to it. My job is making music. The rest is just what it comes with. Till this Day i don’t really have a celebrity friend. Maybe I’m not cool enough for some people but my supporters love me as I am. I know some rappers that don’t have what I have. Family to keep me down to earth, my supporters who motivate me and listen to WTF I’m sayin on these songs, prayer and self knowledge. Nobody ever pulled up on me with no street shit. It’s always been internet shit. Totally meaningless and safe … FOR THEM.
