Stogie T Explains Why He Always Been ‘Cynical’ When Judging The Game. What Stogie T has for hip hop is more than just love, he lives it and has done so for the past two decades he has been in the game.
Stogie T is more than just a local rapper, over the years he managed to grow his fan base from an international scale. Learning about the ropes of the game while living led to him developing a cynical approach to the state of SA Hip Hop. In his attempts to turn his cynicism around, the Roots rapper included himself in granting fellow rappers a chance to shine through VOTY awards and Freestyle Fridays.
Looking back into what he has managed to achieve with the game, the father of two stressed that he now judges the best in the scene based on growth.
“I used to be super cynical (and I still I am sometimes) cuz I judged the game by its dysfunction but now I focus on my growth and the ones showing true dedication to their craft. #FreestyleFriday and Verse Of The Month / Year is about highlighting that passion. Bekezela lova,” he wrote.
Stogie also displayed confidence when he said he will wipe the cabinet of trophies clean at the upcoming SA Hip Hop awards. “Also I am straight pulling up at SAHHA with a trophy cabinet. Y’all going to have to run my shit or run out that bitch,” he assured fans.
