“I Doubt It,” Scoop On Cassper’s R100 Million Drip Footwear Deal

“I Doubt It,” Scoop On Cassper’s R100 Million Drip Footwear Deal. There is a lot that a person can critic about Cassper Nyovest but when it comes to his moves in business there is not much to hate on. Whether the business deals are bad or good in the end, the rapper still comes out on top as he continues to secure the bag for himself. In the past Cassper has had deals with liquor brands such as Ciroc Vodka and even has a mobile deal with one of the biggest manufactures, Samsung. The rapper recently inked an R100 million deal with sneaker brand Drip Footwear, once again making boss moves.

His highly publicized “legacy deal” as Cassper calls it, with Drip Footwear, when it was announced caused a stir on the streets with many people weighing in on the deal. Hip Hop commentator Scoop is one person who hasn’t been shy o let his opinion known when it comes to the deal. During the latest POPcast episode, Scoop praised Cassper for the moves he makes when it comes to business and he also shared his doubts about Cassper’s R100 million deal.

“If we look at if we have to like study someone who’s really made it work financially to be a rap artist. If we look at someone who’s really like if you want to follow someone’s business moves he’s the guy to follow. Like he’s really done well even now during COVID. If you look at I’m not talking, I mean I don’t know if it’s a 100 million rand deal I doubt it but whatever it is, that coupled with what he’s getting now for the braai show, you know,” said Scoop.

Fellow co-host Muchie also agreed with Scoops comments and noted that Cassper’s decision to stop trying to appear cool and rather focus on the money has been beneficial to the rapper. “You’re right about him, he always puts money first,” Muchie added. Muchie went on to explain, “I think what Cassper did very well, business-wise, is he stopped trying to look cool and then he focused on his finances. Sometimes oaks are trying to look too cool they’re trying to impress their boys, they’re trying to come across as a, b and c. That’s how you get these bad deals that just make you look cool but then we find out later that whoops.”

Cassper during his interview with Banques and Venom, on YouTube, admitted that he has learnt to make better financial moves and shared that in the beginning, he used to act like he had money but now the brands he is working with are paying him the amounts he once acted to be making. “In the beginning of my career I never saved money, I believed in using the money. I believed I need to put the money where. So basically I made myself look rich before I was rich. I took the Diddy route, it worked out for me. And now people pay me that kind of money cause I look like I had it but now I got it, like that,” shared Cassper.
