Nasty C Boldly Claims There Are No Better Rappers Than Him In SA. Nasty C has consistently upheld a remarkable standard in his rap career. Beyond preserving an impeccable brand image, the acclaimed Strings And Blings hitmaker has consistently delivered a series of chart-topping tracks.

Despite consistently delivering high-quality music to his extensive fanbase, the rapper has encountered competition from fellow artists. Nevertheless, Nasty C remains steadfast in his belief that there are no superior rappers to him in South Africa.

During an interview on L-Tido Podcast, the Hell Naw hitmaker said that he can go toe to toe with any rapper in SA and he doesn’t see anyone as competition. “Are you feeling you are at that moment in your life where you are not seeing anybody as competition?” L-Tido asked Nasty C.

In response, Nasty C said; “definitely not, I would be dumb to say that, there’s definitely better rappers out there better than me. But you you know what I will always put up a fight.”

On whether he feels there are better rappers than him in SA, the father of one said; “no, but there could be some guy in the cart who’s really discussing with it, I just haven’t met him. Anyone I’ve met, no one. Im not saying I’m the best rapper in South Africa but I dont see anyone who can really like make me go like you know what let me take this L. You can write I can write, I can go toe to toe with anyone.”

While Nasty C may have asserted his supremacy in Mzansi and Africa as a whole, he acknowledged the presence of formidable international rappers who surpass his skills.

“In the world, because of where I am right now, with the way I write, I have to say J Cole and I have to say Jay Z. The way they write is insane dawg like it’s never been so direct but at the same so colourful and multi-layered. As a basic person who’s not like a hip-hop head, you understand what this guy is saying.” Said Nasty C.

The Durban rapper went on to add other big-name rappers whom he looks up to. However, he openly admitted that despite the acknowledgement, if given the opportunity to compete with them, he wouldn’t back down without a fight.

“J Cole, HOV, Eminem, obviously Kendrick, obviously Drake. There’s a lot, I dont want to be that guy who just acts like im the best in the world. But you know what? I will say this though; if you put me in a room with any one of these people and you said to make us a song, im not gonna come out of that room like ah that’s okay, this guy’s song is way better. Im gonna put up a fight, I dont care what kind of song we’re making.” Nasty C added.
