“I’ll never be about the shananagines for fame” Says Kwesta

Kwesta has been in the music industry for about a decade now and he has done a good job climbing up the lader to where he is today. The 28-year-old rapper was mentored by Skwatta Kamp until he decided to leave Badda Bing to do his own thing.

The King of African Rap was not always the artist who would have the biggest song in SA when he dropped a new single. DaKAR II has brought about a new phase for Kwesta. The rapper has released two singles from the album and they have both made it to the top of the charts!

“Ngud is a representation of a good hood weekend” explained Kwesta. The song represents the kasi and it is Kwesta’s first song to ever be the most played song in SA. “I’ve never had another dream or dream career that’s not music” said Dakar. “I have always wanted to do music, it’s something I started when I was a kid. I will always be about the music, I’ll never be about the shananagines of fame or whatever” he explained.
