With the release of his solo debut album, 3T, the creative Cape Town lyricist expanded on the tales he’s told before, providing a snapshot of “the genuine Kaapstad, none of that 7 de Laan kak,” as he put it in his track. In his album, the rapper speaks about the daily challenges that are being encountered by the unnamed people in Capetown.

Today marks three years since the 3T Album hit the SA hip hop scene sending out a message of struggles being faced by the people of Capetown. Taking to Twitter, Youngsta CPT revealed the album changed his life. This comes after one of his fans shared the album cover of the project that features the rapper’s grandfather.

The Dreams Don’t Pay Bills hitmaker is a significant character and voice among Colored people and has managed to share the story of his people through his music. The rapper has mentioned that 3T is an album he made to pay homage to his forefathers who fought for them to have the freedom they have now.
