MacG’s question to Ari started a rage on the timeline with Ari Lennox and other Podcast and Chill naysayers calling for MacG’s head. In the midst of the chaos, MacG also received massive support from other podcasters and artists in Mzansi and Rashid Kay being one of them.

The rapper came out all guns blazing at MacG’s critics. The rapper called for everyone to show the Podcast And Chill massive support instead of jumping into the bandwagon of criticism and hate. “People must be evil hearted and devilish to even try to cancel MacG, the 3rd biggest urban podcast in the world. This is something we all need to be proud of, and protect it.” Tweeted Rashid.

The Podcast and Chill have also received massive support from US radio presenter Charlamagne Tha god. The radio host stated that if the reference is from a song by a certain singer, it is allowed but he revealed that it was a teachable moment for the Podcaster after receiving so much criticism.

“You know I love watching young media personalities attempt to figure it out and one thing I won’t do is judge MacG because I — at one point — was a MacG. I was one of those young boys like that so I would rather counsel the man instead of cancel him. This is a teachable moment for young media personalities.” Said Charlamagne Tha god.

Though he supported MacG, he also offered some thoughts on how the interview may have been handled differently to minimize the wrath he is currently facing.

“I didn’t hear the whole context of the conversation I just heard that part so I don’t know how they got to that question but let me be the first to tell you, it’s not what you say but how you say it. I feel like if it’s based of something an artist said in the song is fair game but the delivery has to be correct.” He said.
