With the CottonFest heading towards Capetown in December following a successful concert in Joburg, Big Xhosa is one of the artists who did not get the chance to perform back in April. The rapper would’ve thought his chance will come to perform in Capetown but he has suffered a consecutive snub to perform at one of the biggest hip-hop concerts in the country.

Taking to Twitter, Big Xhosa said he has accepted the fact that he is not loved in the SA hip-hop community despite the impact and influence he has in the game. The Ninyile chanter said getting snubbed is what gives him the motivation to keep working hard on improving his craft.

“I’ve accepted no matter how much more famous I am or more impactful and popular I am than most people on these line ups I’ll never be part of these things. SA HIP HOP don’t love me man and I gotta accept it. But I love these things they make me go harder. See y’all second half!” Tweeted Big Xhosa.

During the first CottonFest in April, Big Xhosa mentioned that he is going to start his own after the event organizers picked artists that he believes are not more influential as him. “SA HIP HOP don’t like me my guy, not even stressed about it.. They got a whole bunch of unknown high school skrrr skrrr kids there. But no worries if they don’t invite me to their table I’ll build my own.” He said.
