Rea Gopane Who Claimed AKA Was On Drugs Issues Apology To Him. YouTuber and co-host of Rea & Blvck Steph Podcast, Rea Gopane has been trending for the comments he made about AKA and Bonang Matheba allegedly being linked to cocaine. Gopane has had a hard pill to swallow after being made to apologize for his remarks.

After the clip from his podcast went viral, Bonang served Gopane with a letter from her lawyer stating that he is set to apologize and issue a retraction of the statements on all his social media platforms by 4pm on the 17th of May 2021. The letter also mentioned that Gopane is to pay Bonang R500 000 in damages.

Gopane started off by posting a short and sweet apology letter to Bonang that read, “To the extent that I have made statements to certain individuals and in the public media stating or implying Ms Matheba’s connection to cocaine. I unequivocally retract all such inputations and unreservedly apologise that they were made. I regret any inconvenience cause to Ms Matheba and undertake that it will not happen again.”

The YouTuber then issued a video apology to Bonang, AKA and Scoop Makhathini. In the video apology he says he sincerely apologies to everybody that was mentioned on the podcast that was released on his channel on the 9th of May 2021 and says he is deeply regretful for his remarks.

The people that I would like to specifically apologize too is Ms Bonang Matheba, Siyabonga Ngwekazi which is Scoop Makhathini and then lastly AKA which is Mr Kiernan Forbes. I just wanna make sure that we push the envelope for when in terms of providing content in the entertainment industry” He said.

Gopane is still to pay Bonang R500 000 in damages that he now as 8 days. The letter stated that should the money not be paid a summons will be issued to him.
