Rappers Nominated For Record Of The Year At The SAMA’s! 2018 seems to be a year that Hip Hop is being recognised as probably the biggest genre in South Africa amongst all genres.

The SA Music Awards nominees for record of the year were revealed on the 20th of April and Hip Hop proved to be a major force to reckon with. AKA was nominated 3 times in the category for record of the year for his hit singles Caiphus Song, The World Is Yours and Don’t Forget To Pray with Anatii.

Supa Mega was not the only rapper who was nominated more than once. Kwesta was also nominated for the award for his hit singles Spirit which features Wale and Ngiyazfela Ngawe featuring Thabsie.
