The girlfriend who stabbed and killed muso Nkululeko Habedi aka Flabba in 2015 broke her silence on her own terms on Monday afternoon’s episode of Podcast And Chill. The woman, who was just given parole and allowed to leave prison, gave her account of what happened on the tragic night the Skwatta Kamp hitmaker passed away in her arms.

During the interview, Sindisiwe stated that she will reveal more insight into what happened the day Flabba died in her upcoming documentary. In part, she stated: “We were drunk and tempers were high there was a bit of jealousy from his side. It just escalated, it took the wrong turn. I stabbed him.”

The talk of her releasing a documentary following the passing away of a veteran rapper has made her be brought under scrutiny. Sindisiwe has been accused of using Flabba’s death as a cash cow after her interview on Podcast and Chill became a trending topic on Twitter.

Many South Africans expressed their outrage and displeasure with Sindisiwe’s open demeanour, as well as at times his laughter, during the interview. Her “cashing in” on Flabba’s passing through a documentary drew criticism from others.

NOTA was one of the persons close to Flabba who responded to Sindisiwe’s Podcast and Chill interview on Twitter. Since she is a woman and a black man must suffer whatsoever, NOTA attested. “How did she accidentally grab a knife & stab him to death? The court said it wasn’t self-defence but because she’s a woman she was given a light sentence… That’s the price of a black man’s life!” Tweeted NOTA.
