Nomuzi Talks Independent Labels In South Africa. Nomuzi Mabena who is also known as the Skhanda Queen just might be the first artist to release her very first single under her own record label called Nomuzi Mabena Music.

“I released my first single under my own label Nomuzi Mabena Music and I think that’s the first that has happen” said Moozlie. “I think independent labels are great man, only if they are run properly because if they are not run properly it defeats the whole purpose” Nomuzi explained.

She went one to say, “I think that it’s really great that we are owning our own music companies and owning our own music which allows us to dictate how we are viewed by the world. Funny thing is a couple of weeks ago people were telling me to quit rapping and the same people are now hitting me up asking to sign to my label.”
