SA Hip Hop has grown so much to a point where we have so many options when it comes to the artists we can choose to listen to but it’s clear that marketing still plays a major role when it comes to what people actually choose to listen to.
Simply because of the beef between AKA and Cassper, we have seen the argument about who the better artist is too many times. In 2016 SA Hip Hop fans have a lot more options to pick from but this does not change the fact that the biggest rapper is Cassper Nyovest and there is still a mob mentality.
