This years BET awards ceremony took place in Atlanta and was hosted by Snoop Dogg. This was one of the most memorable award show and people agreed with most of the winners list which rarely happens at award shows these days. Check out the list and tell us what you agree or don’t agree with.
Kendrick took home 3 awards, so did Big sean while Jermaine Cole took home 2 awards.
Scarface was honored with the “I Am Hip Hop Award.”
“I am not an icon,” the Houston rapper says in his acceptance speech. “I’m lyin. I’ve been doing this for 27 years. Twenty-seven years ago, you couldn’t have told me that I would be standing up on stage in front of y’all tonight saying something that I’m making up off the top of my head. Twenty-seven years of this, I know too many of y’all. There’s too many of y’all to name. From start to finish, appreciate y’all. Seriously. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I ain’t shit without y’all.”
