Here’s Why Makwa Fail To Take A Lot Of SA Rappers Serious. Makwa has influenced SA hip hop by producing some of the top-charting songs in the game. The acclaimed producer has created a good relationship with Kwesta and he is the man behind hit songs such as Spirit and Mayibabo.

Despite creating good bridges for himself in the SA hip hop industry, Makwa has come out and highlighted that it’s not every rapper that he pays attention to. Taking to his Instagram story, the award-winning producer stated that most South African rappers are not serious about their craft, and as a result, he has turned a deaf ear to them. “I fail to take a lot of SA rappers serious because they never take themselves serious,” he wrote.

Despite all of his wonderful music, Makwa has been embroiled in a major feud with DJ Maphorisa over who deserves credit for the success of the songs on which they produced together. The two have not been crossing each other’s paths ever since the Facebook live conversation they had, but they are still appreciated for their work in the SA music industry.
