Da L.E.S Mourns The Death Of His Father. Rapper Da Les has shared that he recently lost his father Leslie Jonathan Mampe SNR
LES didn’t reveal the cause behind his father’s passing but described his burial as a celebration of his life. It is believed that that Leslie Snr’s death was a result to the Covid-19 infection, making it to the list of many deaths that have been taking place because of the pandemic.
Les has never been public about his personal relationship with his parents but has mentioned in a number of interviews how his parents worked to give him a better life, all from travelling between America and South Africa. In fact he told MacG once during an interview that his father’s profession was partly the reason he and his family moved a lot.
Leslie Snr is being put to rest today, 5 days after the announcement of his passing.
“What a beautiful day, we celebrate my Dad’s life and lay my Dad to rest peacefully. I’m so grateful for what I’ve learned and for my biggest fan becoming my guardian angel,” he wrote.
Celebrities came in numbers sharing words of comfort for the Jozi rapper.
