With all that he has achieved in African hip hop as a whole, it’s not surprising that the Durban-native rapper’s name is being thrown around for comparison with other upcoming artists. Taking to Twitter, Nasty C was compared with Nigerian rapper Blaq Bonez a comparison that prompted massive reactions on Twitter timeline. “Who is the best rapper? Like for Nasty C Retweet for Blaqbonez,” read the tweet.

The tweet caused rage on the timeline, with Nigerians not agreeing with the comparison as they surprisingly came into Nasty C’s defence. Taking from the reactions, some Nigerian tweeps stated that it’s disrespectful to Nasty C to compare him with Nigerian rapper Blaq Bonez.

Nasty C’s fans in Nigeria also stated that as much as Blaq Bonez is a good rapper he is nowhere near the same level as Nasty C. Check out some of the reactions from Nigerian defending Nasty C from the comparison with their homegrown talent Blaq Bonez.

Even though most Nigerians don’t agree that Blaq Bonez is not yet at the same level as Nasty C, the rapper has been one of the shining stars in Naija music. Blaqbonez has released three EPs since 2018, including Bad Boy Blaq (2018), Bad Boy Blaq Re-Up (2019), and Mr Boombastic (2019), as well as a number of singles that have freely veered between hip-hop, afrobeats, and r&b.

The young Nigerian rapper also enjoyed Nasty C’s contribution to his debut album Sex Over Love. He also had other features from Joeboy, Nasty C, Amaarae, and Bad Boy Timz.
